5 Reasons You *Need* Matching Christmas Pajamas For The Family

If you are on the fence about matching Christmas pajamas for family, here are 5 reasons to take the plunge.

1.Family Photos – The first thing that probably drew you to matching Christmas PJs was probably all of the cute photos of families in their matching jammies. Who wouldn’t want a cute family photo?! Even if you don’t use the photos as your Christmas card (yep, we did matching pajamas for our Christmas card one year), they still make cute photos on Christmas morning.

2.Everyone Needs New Pajamas Anyway – Last year’s pajamas are too small, which means the kids need new jammies anyway. So why not make the most of new PJs by getting matching pajamas for the family.

3.Your kids won't want to match with you forever – Kids are only little once, and that magical time when they are excited to match mom and dad is a short window. Take advantage of it while you can. You will never regret doing something for the magic of childhood at Christmas time. Even if you only do matching family Christmas pajamas for family once, you will always have the memories — and the photos. 

4.New Family Traditions – We used to get the kids new pajamas for Christmas, now we give them their new jammies early so we can enjoy them during the Christmas season. We wear our new PJs for the first time the weekend after Thanksgiving. That’s the weekend our Elf on the Shelf always arrives with a big breakfast, so we have our matching Christmas pajamas on for his arrival. It has become our way of kicking off the Christmas season.

5.Family Time – Putting on PJs in the middle of the afternoon begs for curling up on the couch to watch a movie. After we finished taking photos for this post, that’s exactly what we did. We ordered pizza and curled up on the couch as a family to watch a movie. It was the perfect way to end a lazy Sunday, and the perfect reason to have matching pajamas.
